Do your dentures slip and slide, causing embarrassing face-to-face encounters and social situations? Are you missing teeth or have several teeth with a poor prognosis? If so, you could benefit from an exciting technology called Hybridge from your New Haven, CT dentist, Dr. Francesco Maratta. Get your smile back, eat the foods you love and never worry about your prosthetic teeth falling out.Hybridge

What is Hybridge?
Much like a traditional denture, Hybridge is a prosthesis which replaces missing teeth. However, Hybridge is special in that it utilizes dental implant technology rather than gravity or denture adhesive to lock the prosthetic teeth into place. Several strategically placed dental implants give the prosthetic teeth supports on which to attach. This keeps the replacement teeth from moving around while stimulating the bone to prevent bone atrophy.

How does Hybridge work?
Hyrbidge uses three different methods to replace missing teeth, including:

  • Single Tooth Replacement: This method involves using a single implant and dental crown replaces a single missing tooth, eliminating the need for a dental bridge.
  • Multiple Teeth Replacement: To replace multiple teeth in a row, Hybridge uses an implant-supported dental bridge. This avoids compromising the surrounding healthy teeth to hold the bridge in place.
  • Full Arch Replacement: At least four dental implants placed throughout the arch supports a full denture to replace all of the teeth on the upper or lower arch.

The Benefits of Hybridge
One of the most obvious benefits of Hybridge technology is its permanence. Your new teeth are designed to feel and function exactly like your natural teeth. Unlike caring for your dentures, maintaining your implants is as easy as maintaining your natural teeth. Because they are implanted into the jawbone, dental implants prevent bone atrophy by stimulating the bone. Since performing Hybridge implants requires special training, you can rest assured that your Hybridge-approved New Haven dentist is as up-to-date and knowledgeable about Hybridge as possible. This ensures a smooth and successful treatment.
